For the ASCENT 2022 Spring meeting, ASCENT will comply with all public health guidance and requirements imposed by state and local health authorities and with DOT guidelines for FAA facilities.
- Effective March 4, 2022, DOT no longer requires masks for FAA headquarters.
- Alexandria, Virginia is currently at a low COVID-19 community level and does not have COVID-19 restrictions in place. Wearing a mask is not required in most settings, but individuals are welcome to do so at any time. Businesses may still choose to require masks.
- The Embassy Suites does not require masks at this time.
- For areas with a low COVID-19 community level, the CDC recommends that individuals stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and that people get tested if they have symptoms: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/testing/diagnostic-testing.html .
We would also like to encourage meeting participants to test for COVID the night before or day of the meeting out of respect for their fellow ASCENT members who may be immune-compromised or who may have small children or immune-compromised loved ones at home. We strongly encourage testing for anyone coming from a community with medium or high levels per the CDC tracker: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html
If you think you have COVID, have recently been exposed to COVID, or have had COVID symptoms within 14 days of the event – be considerate of your peers and consider virtual attendance.
